? Viewing Pictures ?

I am sure there is some info. on this somewhere, but I am just too lazy to search....

When I log into my account and search threads, I do not see any thumbnails for pictures. Nothing, sometimes I can scroll over the thread and find a tiny little dot to open up the pic, but most of the time that is not even there.

Do I need to change my browser settings? I am using Mozilla's Firefox.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Stroth

OK:

Checked that out, I am logged in and I still see no pictures, no thumbnails etc.

Anyone have any ideas?

I see a tiny image of spider man. He is not dancing, or moving. I also cannot click on the image to make it larger, it just stays small.

something in your browser isn't enabled then... either Java or
you need to set it back to defaults...

does this happen at all web sites ....or just S-B?

i'd check your S-B settings in user CP (control panel)

Stroth - in this particular case the image dimensions are small enough that it won't allow anyone to click and open in a larger window. I picked that image as it is an animated gif and you should have seen (funny and borderline scary) dancing. Try viewing it in both Internet Explorer and Mozilla FireFox to see if one works but the other does not. You also may have some piece of software running that blocks certain types of images...

Thanks & let me know...

John

OK:

After some trial and error, I believe I have isolated this problem.

When I disable ZoneAlarmPro (my firewall) I am able to view the pictures as I should.

Any ideas on how to configure zone alarm? I tried adding www.striped-bass.com to my site list, but that did not work either.

Don't you just wanna smash your computer some times!!!!!:yak:

theres a way to check a allow pictures box
or either that.......... theres a
lower security setting.

you can add it to trusted sites...too

I'm with you Stroth. I'm like Homer Simpson in that episode where he takes out a third mortgage just to buy a home computer. He gets it home, he cannot get it to work so he throws it out!

My sister actually calls me Homer because I am computer illiterate.

I don't use zone alarm (haven't in 5 years) but you should be able to add S-B to your favorite sites list - not sure if it will make a difference but make sure you add striped-bass.com and www.striped-bass.com. Also allow for images & java to be viewed from S-B

Unfortunately for me, this is not the first time I have been compared to Homer Simpson :hee:

I have finally fixed this annoying problem. I had to search the zone alarm forums for 15 minutes, but all is well now for me.

Just in case anyone else encounters this issue here is how to resolve it through zone alarm.

1. Under Privacy add s-b.com to site list.
2. Once it is added unchek all of the items next to the address going left to right.
3. Now that it is added to the site list, right click on the address in the zone alarm window (this was the step I have been missing for weeks). Highlight options, and then go in and uncheck all of the options for ad blocking and cookie blocking.
4. Enjoy the many fabulous photos available in the wonderful world of s-b.com!
