checking fish.....

While on vaca this past week we were actually checked for fish! I was very happy knowing that this actually happens.....of all the times I have ever been fishing (fresh or salt) this was the first time I can say this has happened! (I was checked once about ten years ago for a license...but that was it!)

good thing

I agree that this is a good thing Jenn. I was checked once last year trout fishing. I was relieved that they actually check. However I must say that more often than not DEM seems more interested in reading the paper than chekcing fishermen. Anyway, I must say that the fresh water fishing has been crazy lately as the bass are hitting the surface and the lunkers have come up from the depths. This past weekend I was at Moose Pond in southern Maine and caught a 4.5 lb. largemouth. I'll suppliment my salt water fishing with fresh water until September. See ya!
