R.I. Fishing Report

Last Sunday morning I was fishing at Charlestown Breachway in the salt pond. Fly fishing an in comming tide. Plenty of sand eels birds diving & no stripers. The next morning Monday, I arrived at 5:45 am & saw some fish breaking at the boat ramp. After 3 cast, fish on. Twenty min. later 27in bass. I fished for 3 hrs & caught 5 stripers. What a great morning.

Guyfish, that sand bar out in front of the last camper to the boat launch is a great spot on the incoming. I was amazed at the size and qauntity of fish on that bar in June. The fish aren't there during the day now, but they do set up on the night tides. There's some other great flyfishing spots way up the channel too. I cruised right by you Monday at about 6:00am on my way out to Quonnie - 21 ft Carolina Skiff.
