Screw eye`s . In a jam!

Advice, SS vs Nickel / Brass, 1", 1" 1/16, .062, .072 ???
Mainly for Large sping blues and Stripers. Stockpiled on poppers and swimmers while i work on my thru wiring. ? How much alowance on tag end say for a 2 to 3 wrap to cut down on waste? Anyone out there close to Mystic Island N.J.?

ss. As long as possible. I forget the thickness I use. be sure to epoxy them. I have 100% confidence in epoxied screw eyes.

I'd use SS .072 in the longest length you can find. Drill a smaller pilot hole then coat the threaded part with epoxy and also push some epoxy down the pilot hole then screw into place and let cure.

As far as thru wiring, http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripert...ght=Tail+wraps

I'm in Lakewood NJ. How can I help? Do you need instructions on tailwraps?

IMO,
Only use the MAGNUM srew eyes on any saltwater plug over 5" they are .092" . U can get them From Scott at #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&.com. and we will have them soon. at njtackle.com
Also Stamina carries them.
Hope that answers your question.

This works as well. Drill a 1/4" hole, 1/2-5/8" deep. Fill it with 2 ton epoxy (do not use 5 minute) and insert a brass sinker eye. Do this before you seal the plug so the epoxy can penetrate into the grain. It is very strong.
