cod rigs
I was bored so I took some really bad quality pics and drew some less than perfect drawings. If you can tie a few simple knots these rigs have caught me a ton of fishies (cod and bass). If you like these, let me know and I'll draw up some other rigs that have worked for me (you can add and subtract hooks, these are the "basic" rigs.)

Make sure you wet your knots and that the loops are big enough to pull the hooks and sinker through. |
i use the first diagram with one dropper loop with a shad body and then at the bottom a big jig... diamond or something like that.. huge strikes!!! i do the same for fluke but use a small bucktail and a grub or belly fillet... killer rigs

That is an effective rig for groundfish. It does indeed produce fish. Nice job with the pics and diagrams.

I agree great job!! I use circle hooks with this setup when I'm not tending the rod, on the shore w/rod in a sandspike 2 big chunks make a nice little slick at the same time.
The macks willl be here soon   |
Thanks for this I'm just starting to fish and it's great to have some diagrams and explaination
