We Do real well here in NJ in the Spring with Wonderbread.

BigFish 03-06-2007 08:05 PM

Thats kind of why I asked Tinman......I had spoken with a few Jersey guys and they all love wonderbread and I have had a few requested. I know a few here fish wonderbread....I was just curious how many?

tlapinski 03-06-2007 08:15 PM

I like the wonerbread / mother of pearl 7" bombers in the spring during the herring run. Not sure if the extra colors matter or if the white is the key? Never really gave a true wonderbread plug a shot. If given the choice, I would probably just buy white.

Slipknot 03-06-2007 08:16 PM

I use them

ThrowingTimber 03-06-2007 08:22 PM

wow mac I'm surprised you remembered...

I love wonderbread... probably the deadliest color for subsurface swimmers in my opinion. I like yellow/white, olive/white and black just like the rest of you, but give me one plug to fish... it'll be wonderbread. I like it on Poppers and pencils too. I had mac make me a bottle darter in wonderbread 3 years ago, still have, still fish it. This thing is deadly in the canal especially on the mornings of a breaking tide.. before the sun comes up when everyone is waiting there with a pencil hanging from their rod tip, I throw that beast, I have taken countless decent bass on that thing... magic plug in a magic color I guess.

Hi Larry

You know my thoughts,,,,

WonderBread & New Jersey > Perfect Together ???

As to why couldn't tell you,, but its been working down here at least for me and I will keep riding its bandwagon...

Thanks,,,,

Also huge color on Nantucket, or it was in 1998 the last time I was there. Stopped in to a local shop, asked the guy what has been taking fish... he pointed to a wall of wonderbread bombers.. that's when I bought my first wonderbread plug... it's been a love affair ever since. That plug took many fish in that week on Nantucket.
