Worcester Surfcasters Canal Campground

I think thats the name of the group that owns or controls a campground on the capeside of the canal. Anyone no anything about the camp and the group. It is quite a large area. You drive in near the condos, whose name escapes me as I type this. Many sites. I was wondering if you have to be a member to get in there.

It's a private club with a very long waiting list for new members. I don't know what their policy is if you want to stay there as a guest of a member.

Thanks Mike, I am curious about it. It looks like they have been there for years judging by the setup. Obviously low key though becasue it is not very well-known. Thanks again Mike

The Worcester club is a very private club, that has a membership loaded up with family members. The campsites they have are perminent sites that can be passed down to family members, so the chances of getting a site in your lifetime, well lets just say mega millions has betters odds.

The Canal Sportsmans Club on the mainland has also become a very clicky club with many non fishing family members taking up space on the 100 member list. The club also has a waiting list which is also capped off at the moment. Unless someone dies nobody moves off of the waiting list. A lot of the older members are gone making the waitng list very long. Even if you managed to get on the watiing list and end up in the last spot. Even though the odds are better then Mega Millions I bet it could take as long as 20 years plus to get in the club. Thats a guess, but a pretty good one I would wager.

hard to believe that the CSC had over a 1000 members during the shaffer tournaments. when they ended the tournamnts, the Canal Club membership went down to 62 memebers in a single year. Now its a jewel for out of towners being a very private palce for people to stay in thier campers for the season at the canal.
