Versus
 

OK, while channel surfing last night I came across a pretty good fishing show on the versus network...(you know the non-stop ad that is taking over (above) and will not let anyone else in:realmad: ...but that is another topic)

Anyway, the show was an hour long "destination X". I tuned in after about 15 min and didn't get the idea of the show. They were very clever not saying where it was. They blocked out boat id's the cap't face ect. Anyway they were flying in people to fly fish for tarpon on flats. (I think it was Mexico or Belize or someplace like that but I have no idea) The fish were everyplace. it was a dream spot. More hits in 2 hours then an entire season. Some of the fish exceed 150#...all on fly. It was a good show despite the hidden nature of it all.

I still don't get this big fish madness thing and the 32 fish to 1..what is the concept...betting? Anyway it was a good show I thought I would love to do that.

Did you see the one the guy slamming monster Peacock bass on spooks and pencils? Awesome!!!:drool:

I caught a bit of that show aswell last night,, interesting concept in regards to keeping everything a secret... Some awesome ariel shots of those fish crusiing the flats...

Stuck around on that channel after that and saw "The Fonz"(HappyDays Icon) catching some nice Brownies on Da'Fly....

Did The Fonz catch a shark then jump it?

Versus has turned that network upside down.

I think the concept is thier idea of extreme fishing.
