first time in new boat?

its 10 past eleven in weymouth. im getting up at 4:30 in the morning and would love recomendations. launching from weymouth

Get back in before 2 when the wait becomes over 1 hour !!!:(

I hate that ramp just for that reason, at low tide I have waited almost 2 hours to get out.

That's why i joined a marina...:D

Forget about it on the weekends. No problem at 4:30AM big problems when you get back. DON'T park your trailer in the first row nearest the ramp. You can't back out and its real difficult to turn around when there are 10+ boats waiting to launch. Otherwise, it's a great place to get into the harbor, especially on weekdays.

These guys are right about the ramp... get on early, get off early.

But I suspect you were looking for fishing info?

What type of boat do you have and what type of fishing are you looking to do?

Brooksie 07-23-2002 11:56 AM

MS5712 and I bought the boat together, it's a 1976 Starcraft with a 86 Force 125. We are mainly looking for Stripers, the Big ones. :D Two trips so far and only 1 Striper and 1 Blue using Clam, Herring and Pogey.

what size? And do you have a kicker of some sort? Best to have some small backup power out there...

Brooksie 07-23-2002 01:51 PM

John, it's an 18 foot boat, What do you mean when you say kicker? It has 2 batteries.

JohnR 07-23-2002 02:24 PM

Kicker is a seperate small gas motor between 5-15hp on a seperate transom bracket. It can save your but if the main engine goes T.U. as well as being better to troll or putt-putt around on.
