What a joke. The book values the average finance company uses to judge a boat loan are ridiculously out of whack. Like 40% low in my case. They will accept an accredited marine surveyor's appraisal however.... Just got off the phone with mine. All should be just fine. Got the family rate too! My late dad was a hot chit, and this guy was one of "his guys!" We want the appraisal for insurance anyway...

And doing all this is so much fun when my tax return isn't yet finalized...
