cape beaches...
 

I walked from pochet to nausett parking lot and back today.. nice water is all i can say. That stretch is nothing like a RI beach. holes, little scallops cut away at the beach.. cool stuff. My Great Uncle passsed away this past week and i was up there for his wake today.. he lived on pochet road. I only met him a few times, but after seeing that turf I kind of regret not getting to know him better :( He didnt surf fish, but had a whaler he would tool around in pleasent bay from time to time.. Oh well life goes on i guess. beautiful sand dunes..

Sorry about your Uncle. The wife and I stayed on Pochet Island last year in one of the houses with Stew(Longshot). Unbelievable view of Pleasant Bay and Nauset. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach. Dream home for sure.

One of my favorite areas of the cape. I have hiked all around that island too. Cool pond filled with turtles there. By the way beware the ticks! Even in the middle of winter there are many ticks in the grasses.
