Splash Down

Took the skiff out yesterday and finally the motor is dialed in. Got out to the middle of Duxbury Bay and the wind was howling, had to turn around and head back in after blasting through little 2 footers for 20 minutes. Dosn't seem like much but with a 20 knot head wind on a flat bottom 16' boat it was tough. Needless to say no fishing was done. All I managed to catch was a bunch of spray in the face! The harbor conditions were like glass and no wind, go figure. Still fun but probably stupid to even attempt to fish. Oh well, I made the call and turned her around back to the ramp. This weather blows! I'm ready to fish and it's killing me sitting around the house today!

Thats great John. I should be ready to launch next weekend if all goes well. I know Plymouth still doesn't have their docks in yet so may check out Green Harbor sometimes this week.

Green Harbor is good to go. Let me know if you need another deck hand if you head out. The weather this week looks bleak but maybe it will change. Still waiting for the first striper of the season!
