what about squid?

anyone ever use fresh LIVE squid for bass fishin? i mean ive done alot with fresh squid strips and heads but i didn't know if anyone fished them alive. im able to get my hands on live squid all the time with the job i work at over the summer and figured if anyone knew how to rig one up, why not give it a try? anyone?

Live Squid

The tuna guys use them live when they can catch them under the boat in the canyon. They supposedly work great. I'm sure bass would love them, but I don't know if they keep in a live well. Give it a try- you've got nothing to lose.

We had a decent squid run in my area last may. From what I heard a few of the jettie jockies were live-lineing them with a circle hook thru the head. Apparently some nice bass were caught on them.

We use them all the time in the canyon hwne chunking tuna. Just stick a hook through the rear end (the end furthest from the tentacles, and they will do fine. They are hard to keep alive for any legnth of time.
