Where to Kayak Fish in RI?
 

I'm heading up Charlestown/Westerly way before too long, and I'll probably bring my kayak. Where would I find some good, fairly sheltered places to take my yak, when I'm not slugging it out on the breachways? And on what tides might these places work? I'd certainly appreciate any pointers anyone might care to share. TIA!

A couple places to try... inside Westerly Cove (at Watch Hill), Ninigret Pond, Quonny Pond, Winnapaug Pond, and just inside the Great Island Bridge at Galilee. These are all inside the breachways and harbors (except for Westerly). I imagine the fishing would be very good but I'm not sure how advisable it would be to go out on the ocean side, certainly at night...
