Interesting concept, have you tried these? It would seem to put an end to the dreaded once bitten storm that leaves you with a worthless head and embedded weight. You should be able to easily re-use the weight if this works.

It looks interesting. I would add another to that: if you go to www. interextrading.com they are making imitation sand eels that have a holgraphic pattern. I have picked some up and plan to try them out when I fish this spring. They are kind of pricey given the current exchange rate and the chance of blues being nearby.

I guess that is because the fish are not that big in the UK!

given where and how I fish, fresh/frozen squid for me till mid June ($5 squid jigs=5 buckets of squid), pogies till mid july and $2 'gator fodders from wally world till late september. than back to squid again.

Why waste $5 a pop when $1 does the trick ?
