The Mist was open for business last night. The tide was not as high as the am, but the wash from soem waves was still coming out into the road from under the building. The cottages next to it on the right were torn down this winter. Hope your camper stayed dry Jim!

I think we're all long overdue for a big one like 1938 ... That was a storm! :lasso:

RIJIMMY 04-17-2007 02:12 PM

Me too Bill, I'll be heading down this weekend. I think we're safe, but not 100% sure. At this rate, Im going to have waterfront property in a few years.

Lot of sand gone along the dunes. No more plovers and a massive navigational marker about 100 yards up! Looks like the whole area past the sand dunes may be under water at high tide. Nebe may have some pix coming

Ooohhhh, a new dumping tide destination :hee:

This event will probably end in a few days. All that water flow is probably from the ponds draining after having the barrier dunes breached yesterday morning. Waves breached the dunes right next to Myrth's house and dumped into the creek that connects trustom to cards pond. Historically Cards Pond will breach by man or by heavy rains..Kinda like the ponds out on MV..
