REAR HOOK

Today I went out to test a number of newly made plugs. My question is on the triple hook swimmers. During the cast while helicoptering in flight they were snaggin the rear siwash 3 out of 5 casts. I think this may of been caused by lightly lobbing them due to a short distance in the estuary. I think a dressed shank w/o hook might be the answer. With 2 belly hooks, is a third necessary? I was casting a 3oz. A-40, 3 oz. surfster and a 4oz. Cowboy. What do you all think?

This one worked pretty well without one.

Don't think the tail hook is necessary-my A-40's swim fine without (just a teaser) -the two sets of 3/0 or 4/0 trebles should be all you need. A tailhook sometimes hurts the fish anyway (eyeball, gills)

Two hooks imho, on swimmers is more than enuff.
A dressed shank without the hook adds to the action and cuts down on hooking bloos.
