Ramps on the Noth River

Any good ones to launch from?

You're very limited. Mary's Boat Livery just below the Rt 3A bridge is all there is. Last year they were charging $15. Better off making the run from Scituate Harbor.

That is kind of tough. The only real public ramp on the river is in the Herring river in Scituate though there was debate on the enviro types shutting that done, it is only a very small boat ramp.

You could go from the Sci harbor.

There is a nicely redone ramp on the South river next to the MYC. That is your best bet, and make the short run over to the North. The fishing in both the rivers should be hot in very soon.

The Herring River ramp is shut down to anything but canoes and kayaks. I used to use it for my 18' CC. Scituate is a very nice facility with good parking, but gets filled up on weekends. Mary's on the Marshfield side is a nice ramp. Green Harbor is another option.

A to Z Marine across from Mary's has a ramp also. Parking is tight there too. The Herring River Ramp is back open but it's tough at low tide. If you launch in Scituate Harbor beware of incoming tides and sw winds at the mouth of the river.

A-Z is not public access. It's for members who have slips and floating docks. No parking either. Mary's is the best bet for quick access. They don't charge untill memorial day I think. The MYC is good but not at low tide.
