Like father like Son??
My son wanted to learn to use the lathe. He comes with a piece of birch chair leg. Says, can I use this? No problem ,let me show you. I explain the different tools and techniques. Not knowing what he was going to turn he comes to tell me, does this look like a plug? I tell him very interesting. Showed him how to drill the holes and eyes and dropped in the sealer. Last week we mock up the wire and add hooks to test. I liked the angle it swam at. I told him you might have something. Anxiuos to paint it , I told him patience. The sealer needs a little more time. He primed and base coated with rattle cans. He wanted scales and a red plug. OK. After showing him some of you guys great plug colors he opt for this combo. Showed him how to airbrush and stencil E-tex it and told me I want sparkles. Gave him the sparkles and he went to town. It looks PISSA! Unique to say the least.
