Powderpoint Bridge will be closed...
 

I have just heard from a reliable local source that the Powderpoint Bridge in Duxbury will be closed for approx. one month for repairs.
(Of course, if they follow the general Mass rule of thumb for projected completion times for "Big" projects, it could take all year.)

I thought I'd pass that on to any of you who may have, or planned to fish there this year. Well, the report I got stated that they were "supposed" to start last week, but since I was there yesterday morning, I know that didn't happen.

I only hope they don't do something stupid that will ruin the fishing there.

It was in the paper last week....the article said more like 8 weeks!

Fished of that bridge plenty when the kids were little... spring we'd use a large flounder hook and sea worms .. stripers ,, taug . fluke .. same set up .

I remember a time long ago when they were doing major repairs and the tree huggers protested because of all the wood they used...
I am sure they will be be out when all the materials are delivered....Could cause delays.....
