Will be trying the North Shore this weekend and give a report!!!

i had fish there last year at this time.

they are in boston. and have been for about a week+

i will be interested in your report rr... don't think i will be getting out this weekend for the lil striped fellers.

carught my first fish here on the north shore may 3rd...

I fished for an hour this morning at the mouth of the Merrimac River
and did not catch anything!!! Talked to 3 other guys down there and none of them caught anything!!! Cool with a strong Northeast wind!!!
Fishing boats could not get out!!!
Will try again on Tuesday or Wednesday AM when the weather warms up!!! Hope the fish will be there then!!!

Got one yesterday, it's like waking up from hibernation!

I had to pick up something at Surfland so I stopped by and chucked a white jig for a half an hour. No joy.

There R fish in the Annisquam River. Every day should be getting better.

schoolies anywhere everywhere. Water is still 48 outisde

4 dinks today in Chatham.

Steady Schoolie action in the Boston Harbor area all weekend.

Will find out in the morning when I go!!!!

Over 50 schoolies in the last two days, the dinks are everywhere locally right now.

Fished down on the Cape this past Sunday with Bill and Jules ...hit a number of spots and did quite well ... slammed fish up to 26-27 inches (maybe longer if I stepped on it) on Big Fish's 1-oz pencil, as was Bill ... it was a great time ... surprisingly I did nothing on a jig, but was taking them on top ... go figure, I probably wasn't as focused on the bottom action as I should have been.

But they are around down there and this weather is making it even better.

As of this morning, NO FISH!!!
Tried for an hour this AM!!!
No one fishing and no birds or signs of any fish here yet!!!
Hope they show up this weekend!!!

This time of year I do better in the evenings as opposed to mornings. YMMV

Around my parts, evenings are good, but mornings rock this time of year. I love going to work sleepy when my hands are stinky and slimy!:uhuh: I'll tell ya what though, I'm perty darn sleepy right about now, on the river at 4:00 am. I'm perty stinky still too.:uhuh:

I just got back from 5 days at Race Point and there are no fish there yet, tons of sand eels pods and pods of them just no stripers yet 2 weeks and it should be on fire

I am praying for good raking this year

Me to, I hate paying for bait. I used the pencil I got from you and it is real nice, I am going to our Herring run with it tomorrow and see if there are any bass that may want to bite it :drool:

Are the sand eels in tight or further out? Also, any seals prowling around? The reason I ask about the eels is that last year there were many suspended in 30-40 ft, but very few in close and burying in the sand.

Up tight to shore, they were beaching themselves when I was bringing my plug in the first wave, more whales than seals now but that will change I think I saw 2 or 3 but they were little grey seals they will head north and the big ugly horse head seals will take over
