SW wind good for north shore?

hey all you north shore sharpies, Is this southwest wind we've been getting over the last few days good or bad for the north shore? I would think because it's really blowing things away from shore, it's not that good, would a southeast be better? I'm still learning all this stuff!

Matt,
There are plenty of coves and shoreline facing south to southwest that benefit from this breeze. Also find the reefs or shoals that get a big surf.:kewl: Think just south of you a few towns....
