Question......

In todays overcautious world where pains are taken to the extreme so that no one is offended about thier race, sexual preference, height, weight or religious beliefs, could Mel Brooks have produced and released "Blazing Saddles".

One of my all time favs.:kewl:

I think so, it's all about context :hihi:

But they would have to give it a special rating. ELJ or Extra Large Joint :smokin:

good question.. think about Porkys & animal house. I dont think those would be made agian but if they were and if blazing saddles was made agian, it would certianly be toned down..

History of the Word part 2 is one of my favorites...:D

There are plenty of raunchy movies being made...they just edit them to get the R rating and release the unedited versions on DVD.

I think you guys are nuts. These are movies we are talking about. Sure, they get an R rating, but I don't think they are holding back at all. For example, we just watched Beer League. HILARIOUS. Full of race & ethnic jokes, extreme sex jokes including a woman shooting ping pong balls out of you know where, blatant usage of cocaine, weed, etc....

Alot has changed since that movie was made. But there are plenty of things that are still the same. People are people, then and now.:rotf3:

What about a remake of all in the family?.. that might go over about as well as a fart in church, funny stuff though.
