how is it that sea lice represents fresh or migratory fish? and why are they not around toward the middle and end of the season?

there seems to be some belief that fish with sea lice on them must have come from deep out in the sea as they traveled north or from the winter. Whatever the case most of the fish I catch in May have lice, the things were getting all over my boat saturday and wouldn't wash off easily at all. I think bass up here eventually rub them off in the sand.

i know a lot of large fish and whales travel to reefs and shoals to get off parasites so that may make sense...

I pulled in a few schoolies yesterday that were cover in lice. So your not the only one.

All the big fish I got yesterday had sea lice. None of the fish I got this morning had and though. I was at a slightly different spot on the same island in the Bay (Narr.)
