BFT Regs

Jun1-Jul31
1 fish 27"-47", 2 fish 47"-73".

isn't this more liberal than last year? I am not complaining, but isn't just about everyone in agreement that BFT stocks are on the verge of a disaster? Seems to be all I have read lately.

Personally, I have no problem with it, but I guess I was expecting worse, like one fish at 47"+

Zac,
It is more liberal than last year and it has nothing to do with the status of the population. Last year we were in the last year of our allocated quota from ICATT. We had caught too many fish the prior year so we had to cut back to stay within our quota. This year we are in the first year of our ICATT quota, so we can "afford" to be a littlle more liberal with our regs.

Jun1-Jul31 ? What about after these dates?

Based on landings they can change the regs or keep them.
