Let this soldier RIP

http://ledger.southofboston.com/arti...ews/news01.txt

This kid served his country, paid the ultimate price - lost his life and then gave his organs to others when he passed.

Now this f'n scumbag group (the Topeka, Kan.-based Westboro Baptist Church) is planning to demonstrate at his funeral to protest the war.

GGGGRRRRRRRRR these friggin pricks have the right to protest because of brave soldiers like Army Pfc. Matthew Bean.

I wish very bad things :gorez: on anyone who supports this group.

PaulS 06-07-2007 02:08 PM

They say they are going to show up at almost ever funeral but don't show up at most of them. They said that they were going to show up at a Conn. funeral friday I believe.

FishermanTim 06-07-2007 05:19 PM

These SOB's probably would probably "skip town" to avoid having to serve for the country that gives them the right to protest in the first place. There nothing but a bunch of worthless wankers that should be pelted with rotten eggs.

That group was assigned to a particular place to protest at a funeral here last year. The State Police mounted units were assigned a place too, directly in front of them!

I hope the horses were very well fed, prior to the detail...

i remember hearing of a vetrans biker group that said they would be at every funeral that these 'effin lowlife scumbags were to attend.... i remember them in ma a few years ago..head scumbag beatch was interviewed on radio and needed to be :gorez:

If it werent for this brave mans sacrifice for our nation these people would be allowed to say nothing. If the taliban were to come here and rule, they would have no freedom of speach or religion. These people take our freedoms for granted and dont realize how s***ty their lives could be if it werent for our solders ovreseas.

God bless Pfc. Bean, all the others who have sacrificed it all, and those who are still fighting to keep this great land free.

spence 06-07-2007 08:12 PM

Just ignore them...

Our troops die to defend good free speech and bad. It's not up to me to argue what's justifed or not...unless it's outside of the US Constitution and applicable laws.

That being said, it's pretty sick. %$%$%$%$ers...

They were at the wake today.

kevin d 06-08-2007 04:47 AM

I am sorry to say this but if they showed up at the funeral of anyone I know it would really make the papers. Their right to free speech does not outweigh the right for the friends and family to grieve in peace.

Slingah 06-08-2007 06:05 AM

maybe the bikers will bust some heads....:smash:

PaulS 06-08-2007 07:42 AM

They certainly have the right to protest anything they want - just not the right to disturb anyone they please. They should be given a nice spot about 1 mile away from the funeral or cemetary.

NeedaKeepah 06-08-2007 10:58 AM

They are fricking A-Holes....period.

PaulS 06-08-2007 11:21 AM

They were suppose to show up today in Norwich Conn. but were no shows.

NeedaKeepah 06-08-2007 10:29 PM

.........

stripersnipr 06-09-2007 05:27 AM

The turn out of people I saw lining both sides of the street holding American flags while waiting for the funeral procession to pass completely trumped any statement the lunatic fringe from Kansas was trying to make.

Slipknot 06-09-2007 08:47 AM

if they showed up then that is just despicable, beyond lower than low. they should be exiled from this country and be ashamed of themselves.

A soldier's funeral is not about the conflict in which he or she dies, but about the passing his or her life. It is not the time to protest anything, but a time to bring your respect.

You are so right Fred.
We just lost another boy from our town and couldn't even phathom his funeral being disrupted by a protest.

I can't imagine someone having that low a love for his fellow man to disrupt the mourning of a family. Just sick.
