Started in stage harbor this AM got bait in the livewell and headed to Bishops. NOTHING. Even the scup guys didn't look like they were getting many. Worked our way back and tried to find bass under a couple different schools of blues but guess what... Nothing. It was slow slow slow but I still love getting out there.

Did anyone have luck on the southside?

Went out for an hour with my friend and with my buddy and we ended up with a 20lb bass, 7lb fluke, and a lot of blues. All on jigs.

Jigs/metal mostly. Plenty of bluefish on top (willing to eat plugs), decent bass down deep (got some vertical jigging as well as trolling wire) I suspect there are bass around Skiff Island and the outer parts of Mutton amendable to plugging, since there seemed to be bass everywhere we wandered out there. Most serious fishing seemed to be on the mussel bar east of Tom Shoal. NE wind tends to turn that place on. I'll bet Tuckernuck is good as well.....though I'm unsure of the seal situation there this year.
