Screen or video card
 

So I'm sitting here and a few minutes ago my screen went and started with pale blue splotches going across the screen interspersed with normal color between the splotches. It flickered like this for a minute then the entire screen has a pale blue color to it, white is pale blue, colors are blue muted.

Screen or driver or card? New machine with 256mb card, 22" lcd screen.

Now it's back to normal colors and intermittently flickering blue.

any ideas? Have not rebooted but that's coming up.

probably the monitor.

check the connection to the back of the computer (with it off)

it's ok now and reboot didnt help

Yeh - sounds like monitor. Try different resolutions? Turn hardware acceleration off (display settings, advanced, troubleshoot, hardware accel) , ? Now a technical fellow such as yourself would know to roll another monitor by quickly for a test :hee:

Is this the same LCD as before?
