bluefish in the southshore bay area

figured it would be useful information to some people. i hadn't seen a trace of them until last night, when my chunks kept getting chunks taken out of them. i kept saying "it looks like blues." they kept saying "if was you would know". sure enough first crack of daylight today i got a blue. i'm sure some already knew. but i have been out almost every night, and this is news to me. so adjust your tactics accordingly.

add on also.. after nearly 8-9 years of striper fishing... that was my first blue.

so i've heard.. just haven't seen any signs of them in this area. ofcourse we hadn't seen single bait fish either. and the bass wouldn't take a damn thing besides clams until tuesday. i'm talkin from shore. i'm sure some boat guys have gotten into some in the area. but from shore here this is the first signs of blue here. so people may wanna up their leaders and what not. i know alot of guys around here getting cocky about leaders stating "there are no blues to worry about"

wow... out here on MV, we go 2 feet outside the harbor and the blues are jumpin in the boat
