wholesale bait

Im looking to buy a tote of mackerel and a tot of herring. Is there anyone on the north shore or nh or maine that sells this? I know of the bait lady in portsmouth, but she is open only a few hours a day. She has herring for $60 a tote. Is that reasonable? She did not have mackerel. Any suggestions? I want to freeze it to grind chum and use it to chunk for tuna.

Go to Gloucester, right to the docks. Or give Steve a call at Al's Bait Shop in Beverly

I buy the bulk bait right off the boats in Galilee. Put 200 pounds of squid in the freezer a couple of weeks ago.

Try these guys. I bought a tote a few weeks ago i belive it was 28 bucks. Give them a call they will tell you wether its fresh, salted or lobster bait quality.
