Seaworms, clams or squid. If they are there they will eat all three. They are usually ravenous when you find them.
i just picked up some 1/0 hooks, taking the kids out this weekend, weather permitting. I havent fished off the bottom for scup in over 20 years. Hopefully they can catch some fish whihc I can use or bait when I head out at night...........
live-line while your fishing...
4/0 trebble in the nose... 1/0 is a bit big... think smaller for scup, they will hook up easier... |
1/4 sticks work if the water isn't to deep.
squid..sea robin bellies work if you can get some and last awhile.
fresh seaclams only.
