Storing eelskin plugs

How does everyone keep their skinplugs between fishing outings? I've been wrapping them in a baggie and keeping them in a Glad container in the spare fridge. The only problem is the VMC hooks prematurly rusting. I take off some of the hooks between trips but it is a pain in the *ss. Each time slipping hooks on and trying not to forget to hook them when going out.
Also, do you store the skins themselves in containers with kosher salt sprinkled over them or make up a slurry of salt and water?
Your thoughts and ideas welcomed.

fridge (not the one u store u reg. food in prefereably, or if u have a wife and wanna keep her) with kosher salt in a pickle jar. put the whole thing in there hooks in all. they wont rust cause the hooks need air to oxygenate and start that whole process.
