Leaders

There must be a million different opinions here, but say you're using a sinking tip, and weighted flies, what would your choice of leaders material(s) be?

I am finding multiple weight lines knotted together is causing much mung buildup, no matter what I tie or how close I trim the ends.

No need to go fancy in the salt, a staight shot of 15 to 30 lb big game is all ya need, loop to loop.

Thanks Sax. Next time out I'll give it a try.

I would do the same. Also think about going short. Especially if you are using a sink tip. Total leader length about 3 and half feet.

Thanks again. Learning the trade on the streams, I see the big difference on the seas. Guess a 6 1/2' tapered, 2 lb tippet, tossing a #20 dry isn't exactly the same terminal needed to wip a 5/0 6 " eel imitation.
Can't wait to give the new data a try. Tight lines.
