Tough luck but Fun

Hit the bay early this morning and fished from 6-8am. First spot had immediate action on surface plug and fish that seemed like keeper size were busting the plug up and were jumping entirely out of the water. I hooked 3 in about 20 minutes and had a 1/2 dozen whacking my plug but not taking it fully. I headed to another spot and first cast a corker totally engulfed my plug but shook it off after a few seconds and then proceeded to take 2 more big wacks at it. I was bummed because he was definetly a keeper. oh well, I'll be back tomorrow! Here's a peek at one of the ones I got to the boat.

I had the same action from shore yesterday....quite funny how fiesty the fish were and some not taking it like you said but wacking it many times...I was laughing out loud at them, flying through the air..the whole ten yards....it's like the bigger fish were trying to stun the plug and then wised up that it was not real...and the smaller fish...well they are just not that smart...nice to see some fish around though...now to only see some real size....
