Got The Bunker!
Thought these were cool!
Couple more!;)
BF, are those blues? Look like bunker, swimming with their mouth open,
Those are "cocktail blues" about 2-3 pounds each.....a big scholl of them was swimming in circles off the pier in Provincetown when I was down there a couple weeks ago! It was pretty cool to see!
cool photo's but i don't see a big fish popper ripping through the school
I would have if I had had one....was with the family....no rod with me!!!:bc:
say it ain't so , no rod stashed in the trunk , under the car seat , a pocket fisherman in the glove box ,even a neatly coiled hand line stashed in the pockets :crying: never leave home without it , the shame :hs:
Hate to break it you Larry but those are Menhaden, not "coctail blues"
they have been around the pier for weeks now. Look closely, forked tails, blunt head with red gills showing and mouths open. Definetly bunker. |
That's Bait!
no yeller eyes
Either one = bait. Cool pix, thanks.
look like a school of bunker to me
you know what they were chaseing?
yeah mouths are open and you can see the marking right behind the gills, cool pics though, wondering why more people dont pick up some underwater cameras for some greta shots
I thought thats what they were but there was a charter guy there claimed they were blues......(I thought he was wrong!). Thanks for clarifying! Makes the pic even more cool! :btu:
Those were taken from up top on the pier looking down in the water...no underwater camera.:)
It always freaks me out when I see em swimin.they look like the ghost in scary movie..
really nice pics Larry!
Cool pics! Those look like Bunker swimming to me.

my favorite thing to hate is.. when ya decide to use the ocean for swimming and not fishing, and the shoals of 6 to 7 30+inch stripers swim right by your feet. and it's never just one or two. but four or five shoals go by.and there is always one you swear is a shark in the middle. and all you are thinking is "god damned mother f'in son of a biscuit. i don't have a rod.":crying: |
