spots in Narragansett Bay

Nope, not for fishing, but, beach - family friendly isolated spots to swim, picnic etc.

I took my family this past friday to the channel between Patience and Prudence Islands, we went onshore on Patience and had lunch, swam, they all had a blast. i figured there has to be more spots out there. There are a bunch of small islands off Newport that look pretty cool. Anyone have any spots to share?

dutch island.

i don't think you are allow to land on gould is. near npt.

not sure about rose.

i find dutch to be the best with very protected waters and halfway decent beach.

a lot of times we will also just go right outside the wall and grab one of the moorings off nk town beach and have lunch, go for a swim, etc... or sometimes just for a swim after work.

You could try the south side of Hog Island, and the south side of Dyer Island. I would also try the beach east of Pine Hill point on Prudence Island.

Potter Cove is my favorite. It's on the East side of Prudence.:kewl:
