I was fishing with my daughter last night and had a so so start. Misjudged the clearance under the bridge at the Plymouth breakwater and bumped up the bimini top. No damage! Caught the first schoolie and handed off the rod to my daughter. After keeping her on the schoolies and some small blues I picked up a little 7' spinning rod setup with a 4" plastic minnow and landed a 38" 20lb(on the bathroom scale) after a lengthy battle with the drag. Biggest fish I have ever caught. I thought I was addicted before.... And the her reaction was priceless.

Way to go fellow east bridgewaterite!

nice fish, congrats. - never underestimate the power of the 4 inch shad - especially in the summer when the bait is small. I have had decent fish take a pearl storm.

Lotta fun. Penn 4400, 7' Ugly Stick & 30ib Power Pro. Funny what pops into your head "How long since I retied those knots?" "How strong is that hook?" " "Maybe I should have replaced that leader."
