Tonight after spending a nice evening with the wife walking Main Street Falmouth we drove by the water and took the long way home by the cranberry bogs in East Falmouth when on a dark wooded rode someone shot my rear passenger window out. Looks to be the size of a 22 caliber bullet or a high powered pellet gun. They were obviously trying to hit us. Man I am f()cking pissed :lossinit: beyond belief!!!!!!!!!! The cops came right away but I have a feeling the perps will get away clean. I want to kill someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:af: :af: :af: :af: :af: :af: :af:

Probably just pranksters but thank god they didn't actually hurt you or anyone else...If they're young and stupid, they'll do it again.

Glad you 2 are OK and didn't get shot, the window can be replaced, but if the A-hole who did that was aiming forward more, it would have been horrible. I don't blame you one bit for being :lossinit: Peeeeesed.
I remember back a few years when the Mass Bass show was at Cordage Park and MikeCC was heading there with stuff to setup the day before and some lowlife shot his truck , it hit right behind where his daughters' head was:af: he bailed on the show that year he was so pissed.

Glad your both O.K. Its more common than what you think. Happened to me, to a window in my cap, two years ago coming back from the store at 12 noon.

Glad you are both OK... Sucks that it happened, but as others have stated, it is not unusual.. a foreign exchange student was shot thru the window of a vehicle with a 22 in my town a few years back.. bullet is still lodged in his neck, as it was too close to the spine and nerves and such to remove.. that poor kid has a life long momento of his stay in Orleans... two local kids were arrested, but nothing came of it.. hard to prove.

Glad you both are OK. This sucks! ANy chance it was a remote thing? Or has it happened other times in the area? Though very slim chance of it being an "accident".

I remember when that happened to Mike, Barb, and Felicia (7 or 8 years ago?) at the Cordage Park show (Slip, I think they stayed at the show). They were understandably freaked out. Turned out it had happened a few times in that area...

Police report says "nothing found or unusual seen in area", thanks, I asked if it had before and they were "deflective" of my question. If it isn't local kids than it's got to be the Van Stal rep, after all the sh!t I give them they probably want to have me whacked.

Hey, at least they accept that it was a bullet. In Bourne they would have written it off to a pebble kicked up by a phantom dumptruck you just happened to miss seeing.

took your whole window out? or just put a hole through it? pellet gun and .22 LR are more likely to do the latter.

Dont know that its any consolation but a couple years ago they were having problems on I91 from Springfield to Enfield with cars being shot at. Several cases. (dont really know what ever happened ...if they found the shooter or not). So maybe its just some creep being a creep and you were just another target.....still sucks either way but its better than being the ONLY intended target......if you catch my drift.

Bassturbed I once shot out the rear window of my father Pick up truck with my BB gun broke the thing into a million little peices. So I pellet gun could have done it. ThomT

Shots fired, I came home from running the hound @ 9:00am went out in the front yard @ 11:00am to find my house has been hit with three shots from a paint ball gun.:mad:

This is really disturbing to say the least. I was driving here and there on the Cape last week with my 11 year old, heading back tomorrow for another. I just can't get out of my head what if it was just a dumb prank but the shooter didn't consider there could be a child behind that tinted glass rear window. This has me so freaking paranoid I'm thinking of leaving her home now. Where do the idiots in this world come from, anyway?
