DITCH MONDAY
Well fished Mon. after work got 3 small stripers got into a nice fish and it spit the plug 25' from me it was deep coming up and must have rubbed the thing out on the rocks.
The best thing was a Dad and 3 small boys all fishing with their spinning rods UPSIDEDOWN it was classic and they were having fun I didn't have the heart to go over and spoil a good thing the kids were having a blast, I was gonna ask where they were from but held off. LINK Sr |
What no replys ,you all must have done this:rotflmao:

If I don't keep my reel upside down, how can I push the button with my thumb to cast my daredevil out into the canal?
|
I took a guy out and I gave him a rod to use, he starts to use it upside down come to find out he was left handed and couldn't reel that way
so I changed the handle around and he was fine :rotflmao: |
yeah, ive just returned from falmouth from vacation w/family, going back after work tonight. anyways my uncle was doing the same thin fishing with handle upside down, his sons an eagle scout and hes a troop leader or something, i think im going to have torevoke some merit badges
|
when i'm there and it's light out (very rare), i'll hold my convench upside down and jig sideways. keeps regulars and newbies from coming too close, at least 12' radius
|
Stripadan, that's a classic. Never seen that technique used before.
|
once after a looong night of nothing i was doing that and actually hooked up. small around 30", but trying to recover dropped rod in drink. made more of an ass of self.
|
today i was fishing the west end, and this guy was holding his spinning rod upside down, casting jigs when there were plenty of fish on the surface, and snagged every cast, and instead of breaking off the proper way, he just cut the line every time.:rotflmao:
