Carbontex VS Smoothie.
 

I have a few abus and love the smoothies, added the carbontex to a 6500 chrome rocket and didnt like the performance. Not smooth at all from the initial release then jerky when the fish pulled. Anyone else feel that the smoothies are better. And also, do you grease the carbons or run them dry. I am running them dry for now, but will lube them up if i hear that it helps, have another set of smoothies ready to swap.

Haven't used carbontex in an abu (I too like smoothies) but I've had good success with them in Newells. I grease them very lightly with Cal's drag grease which you can get from the smoothie people.
