I thought it was 567pounds? Isn't that the one that was on TV yesterday?

Uncle Matt 09-04-2007 03:32 PM

I caught a glimpse of a large Mako on the channel 5 news broadcast but the tv was on frigging mute. Who uses that button anyways? Either way, it is safer to go back into the waters thanks to those fishermen.

I just caught the story on Channel 7 News. They described the shark at being 10plus feet in length and weighing 500 plus punds. It was caught 12 miles off of Marshfeild by Gary Heisey. Heisey said he was going to hang the jaws above his bar, so appearently he owns a bar or restaurant somewhere.

I hope you guys really dont think this way.
I have nothing against killing and eating sharks, been there, done that, will do it again when we get another mako, but you guys really believe that idea?
I sincerely hope it is a case of not understanding sarcasm on the interbalb....

This fish was not caught anywhere remotely close to a marshfield beach. No worries.

Uncle Matt 09-04-2007 05:14 PM

I just have a problem with anything that swims in the ocean that's big enough to eat me and that's capable of doing so. So yes it is sarcasm on the internet. I hope you are okay with my explination because I'd hate to have a view or opinion that differs from yours....

Its their ocean. Not yours.
Either learn to respect it and them or karma will catch up.

There's a reason surfers call big sharks "The Landlord".
