just got this email from my fiance--
"u r not going to believe this!!! there was a huge feeding frenzy down at ***** beach for about 30 minutes! ***was at the beach setting up for**** and he called me and said :get down to the beach now!" it was the most incredible site!!! the blue fish and stripers were flinging their bodies out of the water...the schools were being pushed onto the beach and they were right at my feet....i actually could see the blues in the water chasing and attacking the bait!!! it was a fisherman's dream...and there were fisherman at the beach just pulling in so many fish!! i could have reached in and grabbed them without a rod!!! i wish u could have been there! this might be the start of a great weekend!" and to think; we are headed to the vineyard to fish the derby...maybe we should be staying in RI:tm::tm::tm::gf::smash::smash::smash::smash::wal l::wall::wall: :rotf2::rotf2::soon: |

very cool, bass or blues?
|
8-10 Pound blues were in close, mixed with our seal friends. Huge cow bass were on the outer edges, a long way out, and some were caught.

That sounds like the situation i was in on thursaday night. Was heading home and took a cast on the beach side of a UDL and lost a bran spankin new plug to the blues. Adult pogies getting chased up on the beach, blues hitting my feet in 6 inches of water. Fished for about an hour 20 blues or so not a striper in the mix, had to leave with the fish still going ape poo all over the place. What a fall so far. :)
