(with apologies to Narragansett Surfcasters who have already seen the pics!)

Saturday night on a Hogy (first time using, since the previously hooked fish had spat out and demolished my last sluggo in the bag!!), perched on a rock on the South Shore, RI.

26 lb, 41" length, 21" girth

Absolutely stoked. :bl:

BTW, the Star rod was a beaut - cheers, Steve!!!!

Awesome job. I have been meaning to grab a few hogy's. How do you work them, same as a weighted sluggo?

Still not able to get the smile off my face, Tuesday notwithstanding (thus far - Tuesdays are usually a bear for me!).

While I would certainly defer to those that have used them extensively (this was the first time I put one on the leader), I had completely forgotten what the guy from Hogy had advised, so carried on using it the way I had been using the sluggo before it - medium/medium-fast retrieve while twitching the rod up and down. It didn't cast as far as the weighted sluggo (as expected), but I had the wind to my back so it wasn't too bad..........and seemed to do the trick!! :btu:

Nice Job. That is a very nice looking bass.

I don't remember a time on this site when we had so many back to back members setting new PB's. Either we're getting better or the Fall Run is on. Probably both!
