muy cool - need to see how they get whacked when that light comes around :eek5:

nor-easter 09-03-2002 08:23 PM

Might be interesting to see what happens over under that light with the current running West and the wind puffing from the North West.
Towed deep on wire!

Just a test! Like about 0100 Saturday morning!

Oh the light theory..... , I hope this new clear coat holds up, and that these plugs swim as well as the first ones.

Chet that sounds interesting, we will talk.

SPEC"S,,,,,,,,,,what r u tryin fa c/coat............mini wax wood hardner?.........on those,,,,,,,,,,,think u already told me,som days ya hata tell me twice:smash:

TheSpecialist 09-04-2002 06:35 PM

Sams I am using the Minwax on the Polaris poppers, some small poppers, and the beachie swimmers. I am trying the Wst System epoxy, with slow hardner on the pikies. We all gotta figure out a good topcoating solution soon, one that is not too labor intensive, this is getting expensive :smash:

Here are some I dipped in the minwax the pic does'nt show off the finish well. I smashed the needle off of the cast iron table on the drill press a couple of times. No cracks or chips, just a couple of dents.

Saltheart 09-04-2002 07:31 PM

You might want to go real hot pink too for some squid type plugs.

capesams 09-04-2002 09:18 PM

SPEC"S

couse its getting expensive, your beeten the plugs to death b/fore u's are getting to use them.:laughs: I think everyone is trying to hard to make the plugs last forever, well theres lots o plugs out there w/no paint on them an they still catch fish. I think WE are the 1's that want to make them look purty. AS long as the plugs are waterproof on the inside they will hold up ok. IF u still have them at the end of the season u can always repaint.

TheSpecialist 09-04-2002 09:24 PM

You know what your right lifes too short. Lets just fish em.

Saltheart I think you are right about the pink. John and I were talking and we thought we would try to go with a rusty pink color. But I think ho pink would be better.

capesams 09-04-2002 09:42 PM

THROW a LITTLe SILVER FLASH on that hottie pink;)

THEN when your done doing that u can send it MY way.:D
