batch file to check a directory and.....

i want to write a batch file (or get some sort of free utility) that would check the contents of a folder, and compare it with another folder, and if there are any differences, it would synchronize.

anyone have any suggestions?

I use a free microsoft tool called sync toy. It's actually pretty good and I have set a few people up with this to backup their computers to a flash drive.

Here's the link:

I use this program called sync toy:

It's pretty easy to setup and use - I use it for syncing a couple of folders on my computer with folders on a flash drive as a backup.
