Libraries

Libraries? You say, what's there to get upset with?

Well, funny story here. We had a crime take place today in town, and we catch two possible offenders not far from the library. Well, their alibi is they were reading at the library, it couldn't have been us! So, a quick snap of the digital camera and we swing into the library to show the staff, hey were these two just in here or not?

The library says they cannot answer any questions regarding their customers!!! They refuse to talk to us.

If any other employee of any business anywhere in town were asked if these guys were ther or not, they'd be happy to say yes or no, but since it is a library, they keep their mouths shut?

Thank God for our libraries, the last stand of freedom in this country!

But, remember, "If we outlaw books, only outlaws will have books!"

But God help you if you do something to defile or damage a library in any way... Then they'll be on you like a pack of ravenous hounds, spilling your name all over the news.

:rotflmao:The librarian knows how to call us when some kids tries to burn down the place, but they wont help you.:rotflmao:A bycycle gets tipped over at the bike rack and they call the station, but they wont help you.:rotflmao:Someone else in the literary world (see newspaper reporters) who thinks that they dont have to give it up.

More info...

Turns out, it is a library policy in response to The Patriot Act... they will not release any info to law enforcement, period. Unless compelled by a court order I would assume... Looks like the next time I want to bludgeon someone I;ll ask them to meet me in the Non-fiction section!!!

So, if you commit a crime in a library, and they turn you over to the authorities, you turn around and sue them for invasion of privacy, and for abusing your "constitutional" rights.

I bet that's where Whitey's been holed up.

So the librarian has taken it upon herself to protest the broad sweeping security measures contained in the Patriot Act by allowing criminals to have one more haven in our society.
