Another Girl killed on Route 20 in Charlton :doh:

thats like 3 in the last three or so weeks...

this casualty was just 17 years old and she was
sending a text message on her cell phone is what i heard.

people drive 55 ...the posted speed limit and faster
but then they stop to turn in somewhere and others
don't have enough warning time to change lanes i guess.

being a parent, these stories about young kids killed in car crashes are heartbreaking :(.

wasn't there a horrible crash in ny state not too long ago (4 teens killed) because the driver was texting? :hs:

Rt 20 out that way is deadly. Forget the texting. I have had near misses out there many times and i only went that way occasionally. someone who lives out there and is exposed to it every day or many times per day needs some luck to avoid an accident. fatal or not is also somewhat up to luck. I knew a guy who's daughter was killed out there about 10 years ago in the same area.

If they want another east/west highway , make it a highway and not try to go 50 to 60 on a road that once was used to pull horse carts.
