Mike also released a 55 2 weeks earlier because he had a 38 on the beach good karma I'd say.. This 61 will look nice w/the 52 he got 4 yrs ago on the wall... I know I have fish envy just glad I was able to see it and lift it myself HEAVY.. I now have one of it's scales taped to my rod, liitle luck never hurt...

First photo looks like a different fish than the second. stresses the importance of camera angles I guess...

Squibby17 11-02-2007 08:28 AM

Awesome! To catch that out of the surf is the ultimate angling feat for east coast surfcasting.

ProfessorM 11-02-2007 09:54 AM

Beautiful fish. He will enjoy that mount and the memories till he is very old. I can't imagine what it will cost nowadays. It was 12 bucks and inch in 1990.

Swimmer 11-02-2007 10:54 AM

He released a 55 #er because he had a 38 #er on the beach. That 61 #er is somebodys way of saying I love you.

RNC 11-02-2007 11:26 AM

ThrowingTimber 11-02-2007 11:30 AM
