Newbie - Blank Question

OK I'm a newbie to the rod building.
I want to build a travel rod, 3 section 7' - 7' 6 '. I've looked at the catologs and just I can't figure how to spine one of these rods or do they come already spined and I'm the dummy.
Any help or feedback
