Rod Wrapping motors
For those of you that have built your own wrapping jigs, where did you get your motors and any recommendations on which motor and cost/features...

master mc.carr///////graingers.......both have all kinds..just don't get 1 that is more than 18 rpm.........u'll fling crap every where:eek:

I think Capesam is talking dryer motor. the standard wrapper motor is a sewing machine motor. You can buy a matching foot peddle speed controller.If you add a light dimmer switch inline , you can control the speed wherever you want. Just look up sewing machine repair places.

I've used a sewing machine motor for a while, ''"they work great""........I've done over 30 rods with it , no problems(so far)

same thing/same motor....cept I don't need to go looking for 1 ,it comes in the mail.
